XB287 made its first flight on 4th July 1956 went to 53 squadron, and then became part of the
Abingdon Wing shared Fleet in 1958.
After several modifications were carried out at Blackburns & Hawarden, XB287 was allocated to 53 Squadron,
but became a 47 Squadron Aircraft when 53 was disbanded.
XB287 was loaned to 84 squadron Khormaksar in October 1966, then returned to the UK a month later.
On the 10th November 1967 it was declared NEA [non effective airframe] on 10th November 1967
after flying a total 6,304 hours with 5,854 landings.
Sold as scrap to BKL Alloys on 27th September 1969
