XB285 had its first flight on May 25th 1956, to 47 squadron, and transferred to the shared Abingdon
Wing Fleet in 1958. Its next move was a visit to Blackburn's for a series of Modifications, which
once completed resulted in XB285 being returned Abingdon and allocated to 47 squadron.
However more Modifications were required and this time XB285 went to A&AEE. On its return to
47 Squadron it was the last of their Aircraft to have the Dayglo bands removed around March 1967.
It was declared NEA [non effective airframe] on 12th November 1967 and was dismantled August 1968.
Eventually being sold as scrap January 1969.
