XB263 first flew on August 26th 1955, and appeared at the SBAC Show in September 1995. That same month (September) was transferred to the Abingdon wing, and after repairs for a bird strike, was issued to 30 Squadron, before completing its service career back with 47 Squadron at Abingdon.

Struck off on 30th January 1967 at Shawbury, and then sold as scrap to BKL Alloys in September 1967 and being broken up in May 1968.
