XB262 first flew July 5th 1955, then on to A&AEE for acceptance tests, followed by tropical trials
in Idris, Canada for winter trials, Back to Blackburn's, twice in 1956 for updating prior to taking
part in the SBAC in September 1957.
XB262 continued with A&AEE until,finally being allocated to 48 Squadron Beverley Flight in Singapore on June 5th 1959,
which became 34 squadron in October the following year.
XB262 was Struck off Charge on 23rd October 1967 following the disbandment of 34 Squadron,
and was subsequently scrapped on-site at RAF Seletar.
