The Aircraft has been modified to permit the switching between various Nose Cones with integral equipment bay that provide different functions for a specific project. These Nose cones are also compatible with the MIT operated Grumman G2 N105TB also shown in this album.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology operations of this period always seemed to have an air of mystery and even today are not a subject for discussion.
