There are so many great things to say about BBMF, far more than I could say here. In this photograph
the Flights
Avro Lancaster B1 PA474 in dual markings of 100 & 550 Squadrons RAF is accompanied by LF363 Hawker Hurricane IIc in
17 Squadron markings and PS915 Supermarine Spitfire PR XIX in 81 Squadron Markings.
Finally the Sky had begun to clear as the BBMF Display commenced.
No 81 Squadron were the last operational Spitfire Unit in RAF Service with the final
Photo Reconnaissance Mission being flown on 1 April 1954.
