Douglas Holland Notes: Pan Am were the inspiration and launch Customer behind the development of
the Boeing 747 with the first Pan AM order being signed in 1966 and the first Aircraft being delivered in 1970. The first departure
for Heathrow being on 22 January 1970. Pan Am's arch rival TWA also took delivery of the Boeing 747 during 1970 and began to use
them into Heathrow.
