BEA were a somewhat late user of this type compared to the independent carriers.
When BEA initially brought the 1-11 into service standard 'Lego Box' Colour Scheme was initially applied,
but this did not 'work' for this Aircraft Type and when this picture was taken, had been replaced by a
much 'cleaner' livery with Super one-eleven titles on the Tail Fin.
