This evocative photograph of one of the Worlds's great Airliners, in the colours of what was one of the World's great Airlines, was taken from the Laker Airways Maintenance Area.

I still mourn the passing of Swissair, despite never having worked for them. I was privileged to be able to visit their Main Operations Centre on several occasions in the early 1980's. Through those visits and associated meetings I gained some very useful insights in Operational Systems and practises that were leading edge at the time - Douglas Holland.
