Powered by Rolls Royce Conway Engines and originally built for BOAC in 1960 who sold the the Aircraft to BEA Airtours in the early 1970's
and seen here when on lease to Syrian Arab Airlines.
When British Airways formed in 1974, the year the above picture was taken, the Aircraft was operated by British Airtours.
Eventually the Aircraft became part of the British Airways historic collection at RAF Cosford and was the sole surviving Conway Powered 707.
Unfortunately when the decision was made to no longer continue with the collection, the Aircraft did not find a new home and was broken up at
Cosford in April-May 2006, although the forward fuselage is with the Museum of Flight at East Fortune.
