The Convair CV-440 and indeed any of the Aircraft in that series (240/340/440/540/580/600) were
not a common visitors to Gatwick, and yet even when one passed through it attracted little interest
Finnair operated CV-440 Aircraft (including some converted from CV-340) from 1953 until 1980 which
means at 27 Years it is the longest a single Aircraft type ever to serve with the Airline.
