The dedication - Max Ward Speaking at the National Aviation Museum
as his Fox Moth was unveiled for the first time late 1989
Douglas Holland Writes:
Max Ward donated De Havilland Fox Moth CF-DJB to National Aviation Museum of Canada in Ottawa.
Maxwell William Ward started his first Airline in 1946 with a single Fox Moth (although NOT CF-DJB)
His second Airline started in 1953 was Wardair Ltd, which became Wardair Canada Ltd and finally Wardair International Ltd.
Although the Comapany grew from a single Aircraft seed to the largest Canadian Charter Airline, before moving into scheduled services. Max Ward never forgot the
Aircraft that got him started in the Airline Business. In the 1980's he bought CF-DJB and had it restored. Henceforth it was flown on special occasions, until being donated to the museum.
