Max & Marjorie Ward pose in front of Fox Moth CF-DJB
This was the Fox Moths last flight before going to a Museum
Caz Caswell Writes:
Max Ward donated De Havilland Fox Moth CF-DJB to National Aviation Museum of Canada in Ottawa.
Maxwell William Ward started his first Airline in 1946 with a singled Fox Moth (although NOT CF-DJB)
His second Airline started in 1953 was Wardair Ltd, which became Wardair Canada Ltd and finally Wardair International Ltd.
Although the Comapany grew from a single Aircraft seed to the largest Canadian Charter Airline, before moving into scheduled services. Max Ward never forgot the
Aircraft that got him started in the Airline Business. In the 1980's he bought CF-DJB and had it restored. Henceforth it was flown on special occasions, until being donated to the museum.
